The Soul Shack is a coalition of Hip Hop artists who make music about a wide range of topics, topics outside
the narrow box of gangsta violence and thug life.
The Soul Shack promotes a musical alternative to that "hardcore
that's gotten to be a little bit out of control" to quote the Fresh Prince.
The Soul Shack promotes community unity
and a spirit of progress and diversity.
The Soul Shack is composed of...
Fabmal, the 6 foot 4 inch rapper extraordinaire. Growing up in Lynnwood, California Fabmal had a choice. Gangbang or stand clear
of gangbanging. Fabmal took the road less traveled by and that has made all the difference.
Dusty Roze, the animated philoso-rapper grew up in West Palm Beach Florida as a Jehovah's Witness completely sheltered from gang violence and that sort of thing. He raps about space ships and time travel.
Tone Blair, not the prime minister of England, the prime minister of beats. This genius pumps them out faster than he can exhale. Based
in Long Beach Tone Blair has seen a lot of the harsher side of life. Through the Soul Shack he attempts to give back.
Chad Bishop, "the Ghetto Sinatro", who's silky vocals are often compared to Al Green. This R&B singer from the dirty South moved
to Long Beach to share his gift of singing with the world and perhaps steer a few kids away from a life of violence and pain.
